In ME290KA: Above is an image of my windsurfing van repurposed as a surf van, prototyping the experience of having your board brought to the best break in the area for you. The van featured a picnic area, shower, wetsuit storage, towels, and sweet hangout/board waxing area. We also prototyped an interactive website experience that matched your skill level with the best break in a given radius of you.

In ME290KA: Human Centered Design Methods (Fall 2016), I was a part of a project that aimed to improve the experience of surfing. In a team of four, we conducted interviews and synthesized the results to generate a list of needs and insights to which we would design. We addressed a host of those issues, prototyping solutions including easily decipherable live conditions updates, board and gear storage, transportation to the break, and a warm shower, food, and board waxing station. All five of our testers had a great time, and said they would use a service similar to this, if offered.
